Felicia Cruz-Sharpe

Ballet/Contemporary Instructor

Felicia started her dance training when she was three years old in Allentown, Pa. At the Dolly Haltzman Dance Academy, she studied under the watchful eye of Dolores Haltzman, Jennifer Haltzman-Tracy, Gloria Govrin and Maurice Brandon Curry. She continued her training on scholarship at the Richmond Ballet of VA , and the Rock School of Philadelphia summer intensive programs. After high school in 2002, Felicia accepted an internship to study at Steps on Broadway in NYC. It was there she met Jay-T Jenkins and joined his company, Jete’ Performance Co. In 2010, she received her BFA in ballet from the University of the Arts. 2010 to 2013 she performed with Carbon Dance Theater, under the direction of Meredith Rainey. She’s also worked with Jim Bunting Dance Co. 2016-2018. In addition to freelance, Felicia is a founding member of DanceSpora, a contemporary ballet company established in 2008. She was promoted to Assistant Director in 2011. She is a resident choreographer there and has had the opportunity to create many original works. Some of which have been performed in places such as Jacobs Pilliow summer series. Felicia has a deep passion to pass on the knowledge she’s learned over the years. You can currently find her teaching in and around the Philadelphia area.
